About Hibernia Venture Labs

Hibernia Venture Labs is a venture group headquartered in Ireland, operating across the UK, Portugal, Spain, Bulgaria, Serbia, Egypt, and footprints in the GCC and US, all through subcos with their own distinct brands and management teams. Through its advisory, technology, product, and laboratory divisions, we build, invest in, and accelerate technology companies. We are looking for a Product Manager to own product strategy and execution across our portfolio and internal platforms, leading a cross-functional team of designers and engineers.

The Role

As Product Manager, you will own the product function across Hibernia Venture Labs' portfolio. This is not a single-product role. You will define and drive product strategy across multiple concurrent workstreams, spanning internal platforms, client engagements, and portfolio company builds. You will lead a product design team (currently a senior and a junior product designer), working with engineering leadership to ship products that solve real problems for real customers.

We need someone who has operated across a variety of contexts: enterprise and startup, greenfield and legacy, B2B and B2C. You should be as comfortable running discovery for a new venture as you are optimising conversion on a mature platform. The breadth of Hibernia Venture Labs' portfolio means you will context-switch frequently, and we need someone who thrives in that environment rather than tolerates it.

We are an AI-native team. You will be expected to use AI-powered tools as a core part of your workflow, from research synthesis and competitive analysis with Claude and other large language models to roadmap modelling, specification drafting, and stakeholder communication. We also build AI products, so a genuine understanding of the technology is important, not just the ability to use it.

Responsibilities

Product strategy and execution

  • Define and own product strategy across Hibernia Venture Labs' internal platforms, client engagements, and portfolio company products
  • Translate business objectives into clear product roadmaps with measurable outcomes, not feature lists
  • Run discovery, validation, and prioritisation across multiple concurrent products and workstreams
  • Own the product lifecycle end-to-end: from problem framing and opportunity sizing through specification, delivery, launch, and iteration
  • Make scope, sequencing, and trade-off decisions with limited information and communicate the reasoning clearly
  • Define and track product metrics, using data to inform decisions and demonstrate impact

Team leadership

  • Lead the product design team (senior and junior product designers), setting direction, providing feedback, and supporting their professional growth
  • Establish product and design processes that are lean enough for venture pace but rigorous enough for quality
  • Partner closely with the COO, CTO, country and subco managing directors, and engineering team to align product direction with technical strategy and capacity
  • Collaborate with advisory, technology, and commercial teams across the group to identify product opportunities in client work

Stakeholder and client engagement

  • Present product strategy, roadmaps, and progress to executive leadership, investors, and portfolio company founders
  • Engage directly with customers and users to understand their problems, validate solutions, and gather feedback
  • Contribute to pitches, proposals, and client engagements where product thinking is a differentiator
  • Represent the product function in cross-functional discussions across the group

AI and tooling

  • Use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, and similar) extensively for research synthesis, competitive analysis, specification drafting, user story generation, and workflow automation
  • Evaluate and adopt productivity tools that improve team efficiency and output quality
  • Maintain a working understanding of AI/ML capabilities and limitations sufficient to make informed product decisions about AI-powered features
  • Stay current with product management practices, AI-assisted workflows, and emerging tools, and bring that knowledge into the team

Requirements

Essential

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with a demonstrable track record of shipping products across multiple customers, industries, or product types
  • Experience managing products across different stages: early-stage discovery and zero-to-one builds through to growth and optimisation of established platforms
  • Experience leading or managing designers, with the ability to provide constructive design feedback and set quality standards
  • Strong discovery and validation skills: ability to frame problems, identify assumptions, design experiments, and synthesise qualitative and quantitative research
  • Demonstrated experience using AI-powered productivity tools, particularly Claude and/or other large language models, as a core part of the product workflow
  • Experience using productivity and collaboration tools (e.g. Notion, Linear, Jira, Miro, FigJam, or equivalent) to manage backlogs, run workshops, and coordinate across teams
  • Ability to write clear, concise product specifications, user stories, and briefs that engineering and design teams can execute against
  • Comfort with data: ability to define metrics, interpret analytics, and use data to support product decisions without being dependent on a dedicated analyst
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to articulate product strategy and trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences, from engineers to investors
  • Experience working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with shifting priorities and multiple concurrent workstreams
  • Familiarity with Figma sufficient to review designs, annotate feedback, and navigate design systems
  • Commercial awareness: understanding of business models, unit economics, and how product decisions connect to revenue

Desirable

  • Experience in a venture studio, agency, or consultancy environment where you managed products for multiple clients or portfolio companies
  • Technical background or literacy sufficient to have informed conversations with engineers about architecture, APIs, and feasibility
  • Experience with B2B SaaS product management, including enterprise sales cycles, onboarding, and retention
  • Experience building or managing AI-powered products, with an understanding of LLM capabilities, prompt engineering, and AI product patterns
  • Familiarity with venture capital, fundraising, or investor communications
  • Experience with design systems, component libraries, or platform product management
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance considerations relevant to product decisions (GDPR, accessibility, industry-specific)
  • Interest in or exposure to fintech, deep tech, or emerging technology sectors

What we offer

  • Ownership of the product function across a diverse and growing portfolio
  • A senior role with genuine strategic influence at the executive level
  • Exposure to a wide variety of industries, customers, and product challenges within one role
  • The opportunity to build and shape a product team from the ground up
  • A seat at the table with engineering, commercial, and executive leadership
  • Access to best-in-class AI and productivity tooling
  • A collaborative, low-ego culture that values ideas over titles
  • Flexible working arrangements (remote-first with hybrid options)
  • Competitive salary and benefits, commensurate with experience

How to apply

Please submit your CV via email to jobs@hibernia-labs.com and a brief note covering two things: a product you shipped that you are proud of and what you would do differently with hindsight, and a product you use regularly that you think is poorly managed and what you would change. Bonus points if you can point to examples of AI-assisted product work.

Send your CV and covering note to jobs@hibernia-labs.com.
